The primary reason people think it is not effective is because compassion takes a long time to grow into that powerful force. People have the misconception that a single act of compassion "should" make the difference... but they only need remember Gandhi to realize that it can sometimes take a lifetime for that power to reach its fullest capacity. This story really brings to light what I’ve experienced in my spiritual path – the power of compassion to transform is much greater than that of any other force.
